Quiet before the storm
Having arrived yesterday, we got an opportunity to sleep in this morning and discover what Cap d’Agde is all about in the afternoon. We made the clever decision to rent a couple of bicycles which enabled us to get around much quicker! This is not the busy season in Cap d’Agde and as a result of that, just about every shop in the town is closed. At least we have this wonderful place all to ourselves!
At the crowded beach. The temperature of the water might have something to do with that, but I don’t have any first-hand intel on that yet. I might check it out later 🙂
The chess festival is well advertised.
Not every picture can be perfect, but this one has a perfectly good explanation! I’m working on my Smeets-impression.
The beach is filled with some magnificent shells… but first you gotta find them amongst all the “normal” shells!
The sky is filled with many clouds, but the temperature is comfortable, and once in a while the sun finds some holes to send its beams through.
This evening, I attended the opening reception – in which the drawing of lots was done. I drew #4, and as a result I will have four whites in the preliminary group. I’ll be starting out with white against Le Quang Liem. That game will start at 1600 CET and there will be live games and commentary on the organizer’s website.
