Every once in a while – or twice a year if you will – NTG Sjakk organizes a weekend of chess fun and learning for youngsters from all around the country. As previously mentioned, Simen had a minor (read: non-fatal) accident on his bicycle, resulting in a broken arm and some broken ribs. Being as resourceful as he is, he decided to rip the fruits of his earlier labor and left present and former students at NTG in charge. In my opinion we fulfilled that responsibility brilliantly, but it did help having Simen present as backup on the first day.

They say that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence – but it this case our backyard is mud-free, which is more than good enough for us soccer-loving maniacs! I guess this time we were on the right side of the fence!
