Arrival at World Juniors

August 3, 2010

After waiting 2-3 hours at the airport in Krakow, 16 people – chess players, coaches and dads – left for the hotels, eager to get a good nights rest before the 1st round. Arriving at the hotel at 11 pm might not sound impressive, but it’s certainly better than some other imaginable scenarios. As it turns out, the three different hotels are all far, far away from each other, but the organizer might think that there is some justice to the players in the fact that the playing hall is nowhere near any of the hotels!

I will not be blogging a lot here, simply because if I’m doing good I’ll want to concentrate, and if I’m doing badly, I won’t wanna talk about it. However, they say that a picture says more than a thousand words. Forseeing that this would limit my blogging duties to taking a couple of pictures and uploading them, I brought a camara, and will be taking lots of unfocused pictures – a speciality of mine!
